|Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.|

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. |Shipping And Handling Deliveries are usually made by a reputable courier. All delivers must be signed for. We are unable to provide instructions to delivery staff with regards to leaving items other than at the agreed address and all itemes need to be SIGNED for.|
All UK mainland orders will be delivered at a charge of £6.95 (excluding Vat). Please note UK Mainland does not include post codes; PA, PH, DQ, IV, KW AB, DD AND HIGHLANDS & ISLANDS

For exceptionally heavy or light weights we reserve the right to advise an alternative carriage charge for your approval. We cannot be held responsible for goods that do not arrive with the customer due to errors made by the customer in entering delivery details. Please ensure that all details are checked and verified before confirming your order.|
You must inform us within two working days if the goods have a shortfall, lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

If goods are delivered faulty or damaged please contact us within 7 working days of receipt.
All items returned for exchange or refund must be accompanied with a copy of the original receipt of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in new and unused condition (including all packaging), capable of being resold and must be taken care of whilst in your possession. We ask that any goods that are in sealed packaging and are clearly visible without the need to open the packaging remain unopened. If any of these conditions are not met, you will be charged to cover the loss in value to the goods. We ask that you return unwanted goods to us so that they are received by Universal Hardware Direct UK Limited within 7 days of the cancellation of your order. This does not apply to business to business sales.
Returning of items is the responsibility of the customer who is liable for the cost of returns and must first obtain authorisation to return goods from our sales team. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Any unwanted goods being returned to us must be properly packed and addressed, with adequate postage and sent with a reputable carrier. We recommend sending goods back using recorded/registered delivery with insurance from Royal Mail.
Cancellation of orders must be notified in writing and must be accepted by the Company. Special Orders cannot be cancelled. Cancellation after dispatch cannot be accepted. Cancellation of orders, prior to dispatch but after processing of order will be subject to a 25% administration and cancellation fee
The right to cancel your order does not apply where goods have been made to your own specification or clearly personalised in some way.
Non-stock items, which have been specially ordered, may have to be sent back to the manufacturer for inspection and report. Carriage charges and any re-stocking charges will be deducted from the total refund value.
Unwanted Goods ordered by the Customer and delivered by Universal Hardware Direct UK Ltd, may be returned at the discretion of Universal Hardware Direct UK Ltd and will be subject to a 25% re-stocking and administration fee. In some cases it may be 60% depending on the finish of the product and whether it was special. Customer must follow Universal Hardware Direct UK Ltd's returns procedure.
Special Orders ("Special Orders") means items made or finished to customer specifications including all Frank Allart and Samuel Heath products) and fabricated goods cannot be returned unless proved to be faulty.
For all complaints, mistakes and any suggestions for improvement to our service please contact us. We treat all complaints confidentially and will respond to an email or letter within 2 working days of receipt. We have strict internal procedures for dealing with complaints or mistakes and endeavour to resolve them within 5 working days. You will be kept informed throughout the process and your complaint will be treated fairly and with respect.
Prices are those ruling at the date of order. Prices on our website are maintained daily and despite our best efforts, a small number of items may be miss-priced. If an items correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount.
